Jim, I was finally able to take some quality time to read this. Each blog is thought provoking, but I think I was moved the most by reading your testimony. Growing up in those little mission churches in Indiana in the 1960's, sharing one's testimony was an encouragement, an act of obedience to God, and a means of fellowship with believers and non-believers. At times hearing another person's testimony is like an act of worship, because of that common bond that we have in finding Christ and how our lives have been changed.

Interesting. This was a verse from our Bible study this week and I had similar thoughts about it all. We have to "die" daily to Him if we are to be true followers.

Merry Christmas son! One of my greatest joys is receiving the devotionals you write. Keep them coming to all of us!

Hi Jimmy,
Haven't posted on our site in a while, but wanted to let you know how much you always inspire! I saw Linda, Matt and their 2 girls in San Antonio this weekend. Small world. Kaitlin was working out with the UTSA cheerleaders as well as Malynda(sp). Not sure if she will go there, but we/ she are looking at quite a few schools. She has been accepted to University of Alabama, but we will see. She has decided that seating in the stands was not near as fun as cheering! Hope you are doing well and I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!

I only wish that more people could read this and put the words in action in their child's life. You are right there are so many children that if not abused, they are at the very least neglected in many way. One day when their nest is empty, they will regret the time they missed with their child/ren. Sometimes when our children are grown we wish we still had crayon marks to get off the wall, or gum out of a pocket that went through the wash, etc. Children are God's miracles and we should treasure them as He does us!

So cool Jim! You seem to be on a "roll" with these right now. I love the way you are connecting things. I hope some kids are getting a chance to view these now as I believe they would really "get it"!
